As a history professor deeply enamored with Poland's enchanting landscapes, staying at Gorska Osada Lovely Chalets in Zakopane was like stepping into a charming time capsule. The cozy cabins exuded a warm, familial ambiance - perfect for my family vacation. Our kids, under 2, were thrilled with the festive decorations lingering till February, creating a magical winter wonderland.The owner's thoughtful arrangements, like the winter horse and carriage ride culminating in a bonfire BBQ, were highlights blending leisure and history seamlessly. The proximity to ski lifts like Małe Ciche and Rusiń-Ski made our excursions effortless, offering a mix of nature and adventure for all ages. Our chalet, fully equipped and comfy, provided a homey retreat after exploring historic Zakopane just 15 minutes away. While the shared chalet layout in House Nr 3 lacked sound isolation, igniting unintentional comedy with our neighbors, the sumptuous breakfast choices and accommodating staff added a delightful touch. Despite the pricey local cabs, our stay was a historical and heartwarming experience - one we wished could have lasted longer.
